Refund Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Summary
- Cancelled before delivery: if you cancel a paid scheduled card in My Petal before it is delivered, you get a full refund automatically.
- Something went wrong on our side: duplicate charges, or a paid card or invitation we couldn't create or deliver because of a Petal You error, are refunded in full.
- Already delivered: cards and invitations that have been delivered are personalized digital items and are not refundable, except where required by law.
- Invitations: cancel sending any time before it’s sent for a full refund (or your free send back), just like cards. You can change the send time up to 3 times, at least 3 days before it’s sent.
- Free cards: there is nothing to refund. If you cancel a scheduled free card in the same month you ordered it, your free send is returned instead.
Cancelling a scheduled card
Open My Petal, find the scheduled card and choose Cancel delivery. For paid cards, the refund is issued to your original payment method straight away; it can take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank. If an automatic refund can't be completed, we will issue it manually within 5–10 business days. A cancelled and refunded card can't be rescheduled; create a new card to send it later.
Invitations
- Changing the send time: up to 3 times per invitation, and only while the send time is at least 3 days away.
- Cancel before it’s sent: choose Cancel sending in My Petal. Paid invitations are refunded in full to your original payment method; free invitations get their free send back if cancelled in the month they were ordered.
- Too late to cancel: once an invitation has started sending, it can no longer be cancelled. You can still cancel the event and guests are told.
- After it’s sent: you can cancel the event, and guests who received the invitation are emailed, but the invitation is not refundable.
- A refund is given only when the whole invitation is cancelled before it’s sent; there are no partial refunds per guest.
Delivery problems
If a delivery fails because of a confirmed Petal You system error, we'll resend it or refund it. If the address didn’t accept it, you can fix it yourself in My Petal (see below). Deliveries blocked or delayed by the recipient's email or phone provider or spam filters, and cards or invitations sent to a wrong address that still accepted them, are not Petal You errors, but please contact us and we'll help where we can.
If a card or invitation can’t be delivered
- The email address didn’t accept it (bounced): usually a typo or a closed mailbox. Open My Petal and choose Fix address & send again. Sending to the corrected address is free (once per card or guest). This is not refunded, because the address came from you.
- Our email service couldn’t send it: we try again automatically. If it still fails, we refund paid cards in full to your original payment method, or give your free send back, and email you to let you know. For invitations, this applies when none of the guests could be reached.
- The recipient unsubscribed: we tell you at checkout, before you pay, and the card isn’t sent.
- The recipient reported it as unwanted after it was delivered: the card was delivered, so it isn’t refunded.
How to request a refund
For anything other than a cancelled scheduled card, email support@petalyou.com within 30 days of your order with your account email and the card or order details. We aim to respond within 5–10 business days.
Chargebacks and disputes
Please contact us first; most problems can be solved quickly. Payment disputes may also be handled through the payment provider. Petal You may provide order and delivery records relevant to a dispute, consistent with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Your legal rights
This policy does not limit any refund or cancellation rights you have under the law where you live.
